We can effectively smooth lines and Wrinkles caused by excessive facial expressions with Botox® in Zurich.
Over the years, so-called expression lines form in areas where our muscles are constantly in motion. When we laugh, blink, or think hard, our muscles undergo muscle contractions. This puts tension on the skin and, over time, leaves wrinkles.
The active ingredient Botulinum toxin counteracts this development by calming the overactive muscles. Wrinkles are smoothed out, and the face appears clearer and fresher.
Wrinkle injections with Botox® in Zurich are precisely tailored to your needs in order to achieve lasting skin rejuvenation without the treatment being visible. You will look fresh and rested, but still completely natural.
Dr. Köhler will be happy to advise you personally on how targeted Botox® injection treatments in Zurich can subtly rejuvenate your appearance.
Information about Botox®
Definition of wrinkle injection with Botox®
Wrinkle injection with Botox® is a proven method for removing expression lines. We use the neurotoxic protein Botulinum toxin, better known under the brand name Botox®.
In Zurich, we inject the active ingredient directly into the muscle responsible for the formation of wrinkles. The Botulinum toxin inhibits nerve impulses in the muscle, causing the treated muscle to relax. As a result, the skin smooths out and dynamic wrinkles are reduced.
In Zurich, we use Botox® to remove Crow's feet, forehead wrinkles, glabellar lines, bunny lines on the sides of the nose, and muscle-related mouth wrinkles, among other things. The effect is temporary but can be maintained with regular touch-ups.
Reasons for wrinkle injections with Botox®
The reasons for wanting a wrinkle injection are usually aesthetic in nature. Many people find the increasing furrowing of their facial features distressing and want to finally look fresh and relaxed again.
Reasons for wrinkle injections with Botox® in Zurich may include:
- Dynamic wrinkles (e.g., Crow's feet, bunny lines, smoker's lines)
- A stern facial expression due to forehead wrinkles or glabellar lines
- Disturbing changes to the chin (cobblestone chin)
- Neck wrinkles, prominent muscle strands on the neck
- The desire for smoother and fresher skin
- The desire for a more relaxed appearance
- Prevention - prevents premature wrinkle formation
Not all wrinkles can be treated equally with Botulinum toxin. Unlike hyaluronic acid fillers, we cannot build volume with Botox® in Zurich. For wrinkles caused by age-related volume loss, wrinkle injections with hyaluronic acid are therefore more suitable. Dr. Köhler often recommends a combination treatment to remove different wrinkles in a targeted manner.
The goal of Botox® treatment in Zurich
Our goal with wrinkle treatment with Botox® in Zurich is a gently rejuvenated, clear, and fresh appearance.
By reducing muscle activity, we can not only remove wrinkles, but also calm overactive facial expressions. You will appear more relaxed and rested without losing your natural charisma.
Through precise dosing of the Botulinum toxin, we ensure that facial activity is reduced but not completely eliminated. A mask-like appearance is avoided. Instead, you will look like a younger, fresher version of yourself.
Procedure for wrinkle injection with Botox®
Preparation for treatment
Before treatment with Botulinum toxin, a personal consultation always takes place in Zurich. It is important for Dr. Köhler to assess your current skin appearance and find out what you want in order to recommend a suitable treatment plan.
Your wrinkle injection with Botox® will be planned individually in Zurich. We will thoroughly inform you about possible Side effects, risks, and the necessary aftercare.
No special preparation is necessary. However, you should avoid taking blood-thinning medication in the days leading up to your treatment. At the time of the Injection treatment, your skin should be free of injuries, infections, and acute illnesses.
Performing wrinkle injections with Botox®
Depending on the treatment required, wrinkle injections with Botox® in Zurich take a maximum of half an hour. Anesthesia is not absolutely necessary, as the treatment is performed with very fine needles. However, an anesthetic cream can be applied on request.
The Botulinum toxin is injected in a controlled dose directly into the muscle whose activity is to be reduced. The Botox® spreads over the following days and gradually unfolds its relaxing effect. The maximum effect is achieved after about 10-14 days.
For more extensive corrections, Dr. Köhler may recommend spreading the Botox® wrinkle treatment in Zurich over several sessions. It is important to us to proceed very carefully with the Injection treatment and avoid overcorrections. If several appointments are planned in your case, these will take place at intervals of several weeks.
Follow-up treatment
Wrinkle treatment with Botox® is a gentle procedure that usually does not cause any Downtime or severe Side effects. You can return to your everyday life without any major restrictions, but you should take it easy physically for 1-2 days.
It is also important to keep your head upright for several hours so that the Botulinum toxin can spread optimally in the target area. Touching and massaging the area should be avoided.
After a wrinkle injection with Botox® in Zurich, we advise against heat treatments such as saunas or hot baths for a few days. You should also avoid direct sunlight and alcohol consumption as much as possible. Makeup can be reapplied the day after treatment.

Frequently asked questions about wrinkle treatment with Botox®
For which wrinkles is Botox® used in Zurich?
We use Botulinum toxin in Zurich to correct expression lines. These form in areas with high facial movement. By calming the facial muscles, we reduce the tension on the skin. The wrinkles smooth out.
When are wrinkles treated with Botox®, and when with Hyaluronic acid?
Botox® calms overactive muscles and is therefore used to remove wrinkles.
Hyaluronic acid fillers build up volume where it has been lost over the years and are therefore particularly suitable for Static wrinkles.
Several factors often play a role in the formation of wrinkles. In such cases, Dr. Köhler may recommend a combined wrinkle treatment with Botox® and Hyaluronic acid.
How often can wrinkle injections be repeated?
In principle, Botox® injection treatment can be repeated as often as desired in Zurich. Provided there is no hypersensitivity or other contraindications, the product is generally well tolerated even with repeated use.
We recommend refreshing the wrinkle injection with Botox® in Zurich once the effect of the previous Treatment begins to wear off.
How quickly does Botulinum toxin take effect?
Botulinum toxin takes effect within a few days. However, the skin needs a little more time to visibly smooth out. The full effect can be reliably assessed after about 10-14 days. A small correction is possible if necessary.
How long does a wrinkle treatment with Botox® last?
The longevity can vary depending on the area treated, skin texture, and individual metabolism. On average, the effect lasts for about 3-4 months and can then be easily refreshed.
Is wrinkle injection with Botox® harmful?
Botulinum toxin is an active ingredient that has been used medically for a very long time. Its effects have therefore been extensively researched and the preparation is very safe when used by a specialist.
Botox® treatment can be problematic in combination with certain pre-existing conditions. Botox® should not be used to treat neuromuscular diseases such as myasthenia gravis or Eaton-Lambert syndrome.
What Side effects can occur?
After a wrinkle injection with Botox® in Zurich, the usual side effects of an injection treatment may occur. These include redness, slight swelling, and isolated small bruises at the injection sites. Some clients also complain of temporary general discomfort such as headaches, dizziness, or nausea.
Overcorrection is possible, especially if the treatment is not performed properly. In this case, muscle activity may be reduced more than intended. We therefore strongly recommend that you always entrust Botox® treatments in Zurich to an experienced specialist. Major corrections should be carried out gradually to avoid overcorrection.
How else is Botox® used in Zurich?
In addition to wrinkle injections, we also use Botulinum toxin in Zurich for the treatment of Bruxism (teeth grinding) and Hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating).
Botulinum toxin inhibits the release of certain neurotransmitters, thereby reducing the constant impulses that cause sweating. We can treat Bruxism by specifically weakening the large chewing muscle with Botulinum toxin.
Another area of application is the non-invasive brow lift. To lift the eyebrows, we inject Botulinum toxin into the muscle that pulls the eyebrow down at the sides. The muscle relaxes and the brow is no longer pulled down. We achieve a subtle Lifting effect.
How much does wrinkle treatment with Botox® cost in Zurich?
Wrinkle injections with Botox® are planned individually in Zurich and tailored precisely to your needs. Accordingly, the treatment effort and costs may vary.
Feel free to visit us at KALEIDOSCOP in Zurich for a consultation. During a personal consultation, Dr. Köhler will give you a recommendation on which corrections are appropriate for your treatment goals. The costs for your Wrinkle injection will then be calculated individually.
